Aleck Smart is a shop-floor coach from Plastics Machinery Inc. This page says what the Mentor stores, how long it keeps it, and what it does not do.
What is stored
Starter sessions store your name, company, work email, the defect, press size, and shifts when you give them, and the coaching chat. Paid companies store the people on the seats, the chats, the process cards, and self-check scores.
A part photo is stored with that coaching session so a follow-up question can still see it. The transcript keeps a note that a photo was sent. The photo file itself is deleted when the session expires, which is 7 days unless PMI sets a different session length.
How long
Starter leads and their chats are kept for 18 months so PMI can follow up, then deleted. Paid process cards stay while the company access is active, and for 12 months after that access ends. Photos follow the session length above.
The AI provider
Questions and photos are sent to xAI so Grok can answer. xAI keeps API inputs and outputs for 30 days by default, and does not use them to train models. A company that needs zero retention can turn that on in the xAI account. PMI does not sell shop data.
PMI also keeps a short security log of blocked signups and unusual use, including the email and network address, for 18 months.
